Electric version of Hyundai i10 to be launched at Auto Expo 2010
Electric and diesel version of Hyundai's flagship model, Hyundai i10, might be launched at the up-coming Auto Expo 2010. These launches are expected from a long time in India. The Hyundai i10 has left behind Hyundai Santro on the sales front in 2009. Apart from this, news of launching Hyundai i30 at the expo is also in the air. In addition to this, Indian car enthusiasts may also be blessed by the launch of Hyundai Avante and Hyundai Verna Transformer at the Auto Expo. The company is well prepared to introduce its new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Hyundai Santa Fe at the show. The new SUV, Hyundai Santa Fe, will have to compete with Maruti Grand Vitara and Honda C-RV. It is to be mentioned here that the Hyundai Santa Fe has bagged Car of the Year award in North America, China and Canada. The SUV model has been a great hit in the overseas market and now its time to test it in India. The company officials quoted as saying by a news site that its Indian launch is under consideration but Hyundai Tucson will be sold as before in India.
HDFC auto loans going cheaper
HDFC bank is going to lower interest rates up to 150 basis points on vehicle loans from last week of January .The news of cutting in the interest rate came in the aftermath of the announcements of interest rate cuts by many big banks of this sector.
According to HDFC bank passenger car loans and commercial vehicle loans will be cheaper by 125 basis points .This news came as a booster for auto industry which was feeling heat of recession .Car sales gone down after the economic crisis in US and many other countries. Good news for two-wheeler loan seekers also because the bank has decided to lower interest rates on two-wheelers by 150 basis points.
