Novas rodas da linha Vectra

A linha Vectra top de linha ganha novas rodas de 17 polegadas. Na versão Elite 2010 as rodas tem um novo desenho. Já no Vectra GT-X o desenho continua o mesma porém a parte externa foi “diamantada” e o interior foi pintado de grafite.

Os amortecedores receberam nova calibração para receber as novas rodas, segundo a montadora com a nova alteração o carro ficou mais estável e seguro e proporciona um maior conforto em pisos irregulares.

Mini Crossover ou Countryman

A BMW revelou oficialmente o crossover Countryman, o quarto modelo Mini. Ele é o primeiro quatro portas da linha que continua com linhas retro porem com vocação para fora de estrada.

O Countryman vem com tração 4x2 e 4x4 os motores terão três tipos a gasolina e duas Diesel, com potências que oscilam entre os 90 e os 184 CV.

Ele terá capacidade para acomodar quatro ou cinco ocupantes - a opção de três lugares traseiros não terá custos adicionais -, enquanto a bagageira varia entre os 350 e os 1170 litros.

Ele deve chegar em meados de 2011 por 25 mil euros para a versão basica e será apresentado no Salão de Genebra.

Mustang Shelby GT350 2010

A Shelby, divisão esportiva da Ford, apresentou a nova versão do Mustang GT350. A série foi criada há 45 anos.

O novo GT350 vem com motor V8 5.0 de 412 cv. Com supercharger, o propulsor chega a atingir 500 cv. Para aumentar o desempenho ele tem sistema de escape fornecido pela Borla, freios com discos de 14” e pinças de seis pistões na dianteira, produzidos pela Baer, além do sistema de suspensão esportiva completa, desenvolvida pela Ford.

No interior ele traz na coluna A, marcadores de pressão do óleo, combustível e pressão de trabalho do supercharger. Tapetes da série GT350, e também uma plaqueta de identificação.

A nova geração da Meriva será apresentada no Salão de Genebra, que inicia em março. Ela não tem previsão para chegar ao Brasil.

Porsche GT3 R 2010 para as pistas

A Porsche apresentou no Salão Internacional do Automóvel Esportivo, que acontece em Birmingham, no Reino Unido, o novo 911 GT3 R.

O esportivo foi desenvolvido para as pistas com base nos regulamentos da FIA GT3, tendo como base o 911 GT3 Cup que foi apresentado no Salão Automóvel de Frankfurt.

O GT3 R pesa 1200 kg e tem o motor boxer de seis cilindros de 4,0 litros e 480 cavalos. Com caixa de seis velocidades.

Mesmo sendo desenvolvido para as pistas ele traz ABS, controle de tração e sistema eletrônico de aceleração. As lanternas traseiras tem tecnologia de LED

Honda Civic LXL

A Honda lança oficialmente a versão LXL do Civic. Versão esta que á intermediaria das versões LXS e a EXS. Com a chegada do LXL todas versões ganharam direção com assistência elétrica EPS (Electric Power Steering), novo ar-condicionado que consome menos combustível e atualização na Central Eletrônica que corrige a aceleração na troca automática de marchas.

A versão LXL traz de série, retrovisores elétricos dobráveis com indicação de direção, porta-malas elétrico com abertura inclusive na chave, rodas de 16 polegadas e bancos e revestimento interno em couro. O Volante vem com controle de áudio e acabamentos em prata. A nova versão terá dois tipos de transmissão: manual e automática com paddle-shift que era exclusiva da versão EXS.

Novo Ford Focus 2011 hatch e sedan

A Ford divulgou no Salão de Detroit a nova geração 2012 do Focus. Ela será vendida no mercado norte-americano e na Europa. O novo modelo tem injeção direta e comando de válvulas variável com motor 2.0 16V com 155 cavalos de potência.

A nova versão do Focus será vendida no começo de 2011 nos EUA indo depois para Europa, Ásia e Brasil. Ele será fabricado na Argentina esta previsto para o Brasil em 2012.

Dirigindo em trechos alagados

Voltando de férias e após muita chuva e alguns alagamentos, resolvi colocar um post sobre este assunto que esta virando rotina.

Esta é uma situação que sempre que possível, deve ser evitada até mesmo em rua asfaltadas. Pois não é possível avaliar o estado da pista à frente.

Se não foi possível evitar o alagamento, é recomendado verificar se a lamina de água não ultrapassa o limite do centro da roda, pois acima disto a água pode danificar o veículo seriamente.

Ao atravessar um trecho alagado, procure deixar a velocidade em torno de 10 km/h, utilizando a 1ª marcha. É importante ficar atento a veículos de grande porte pois eles geram ondas que podem aumentar a probabilidade de danos.

O problema mais grave que pode ocorrer é a entrada de água no motor pelo sistema de captação de ar de admissão. A entrada da água impede o movimento dos pistões parando o veículo imediatamente. Neste caso não tente ligar o carro novamente, pois pode aumentar os danos.

Muito cuidado com as correntezas, pois nestes casos o veículo poderá ser arrastado. Até mesmo alguns centímetros de água podem impedir o contato dos pneus com a pista e causar perda de tração e capotagem do veículo.

Santa Fe, Hyundai's SUV to come soon

Hyundai is the most popular name in Indian car market next to Maruti. Hyundai Santro experienced unprecedented success with its zip-model and state of art driving technology. Hyundai also lined up for new small car

The rate race is started already in India to join the bandwagon of launching small cars in India. The new name in the crowd is Hyundai Motors India (HMIL). The new small car from Hyundai will be smaller than Hyundai Santro. HMIL's newly appointed CEO and MD HW Park informed that the India bound small car is in development process in Korea at the investment of Rs 800 crore. However, he did not disclose about the commercial launch or price of the car. Mr Park said that the company wants to grow domestic sales to export ratio from 50:50 to 60:40 by the next year. He added that Hyundai will continue exporting small cars from India to overseas market.

Hyundai Motor India Limited started its campaign ‘Always There, Because We Care’ in order to offer best quality customer support for its Hyundai car owners in India.

Hyundai i10 leaves behind Santro in sales

Hyundai i10 has become the flagship model of Hyundai leaving behind Hyundai Santro. As per the sales figures of last few months, monthly sales of Hyundai i10 have touched 12000 units as against 7000 for the Hyundai Santro. In the year 2000, Hyundai Santro's sales was at 12,000 units a month. It drops to 7,000 units a month at present. Interestingly, Hyundai i10 is priced higher than Hyundai Santro but superior technology, contemporary styling and competitive pricing have made the difference. The company intends to sell around 85,000 units of Santro and 1.4 lakh units of i10 in the current year.

HDFC auto loans going cheaper

HDFC bank is going to lower interest rates up to 150 basis points on vehicle loans from last week of January .The news of cutting in the interest rate came in the aftermath of the announcements of interest rate cuts by many big banks of this sector.
According to HDFC bank passenger car loans and commercial vehicle loans will be cheaper by 125 basis points .This news came as a booster for auto industry which was feeling heat of recession .Car sales gone down after the economic crisis in US and many other countries. Good news for two-wheeler loan seekers also because the bank has decided to lower interest rates on two-wheelers by 150 basis points.

BMW to launch 5 series GT at Delhi Auto Expo

The German auto maker BMW is all set to unveil its new vehicle 5 series Gran Turismo (GT) at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2010. The company intends to launch this vehicle in both petrol and diesel engine this year. Initially, only 100 units of the vehicle will be available for sale in India. The unique features of the class one vehicle are: enough space, estate like exteriors and body, better ground clearance. The vehicle will be equipped with 400 bhp,twin-turbo direct injected 4.4 litre V8 550i GT.

In addition to this, the German company is likely to showcase BMW X6 M (a SUV), A 760i car, BMW 3 series models and BMW 5 series products. The auto major will also display its small SUV for the affluent class in India. The compact SUV is named as BMW X1 and is going to be pitted against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Captiva and Honda SUVs. The small SUV might be priced around Rs 25-30 lakh. The SUV will be powered by a 6.0 litre, V12 engine.

Audi A7 to be displayed at Auto Expo 201

Audi, German auto manufacturer, is believed to display a new car model Audi A7 at up-coming Delhi Auto Expo. This model was introduced at America Auto Expo in 2009 for the first time and it would take another one year to launch in India. The Audi A7 looks like the Mercedes-Benz CLS which comes loaded with a powerful engine and low-roofline. The company may showcase Audi R8 and other models. In the same event, the company's new logo will also be launched.
